Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started with Bybit

Can I automate Bybit trades from TradingView alerts?
Yes. Connect your Bybit account to Autoview, then add an Autoview command to a TradingView alert or any webhook. When the alert fires, Autoview reads the command and places the order on Bybit for you, with no manual step.
Which markets can I trade on Bybit through Autoview?
Bybit gives you the crypto spot and derivatives markets, and Autoview can automate orders across them. Your alerts can trade spot and perpetual contracts the same way you would place them by hand.
Can I try Autoview on a free Bybit Testnet account first?
Yes. Connect a free Bybit Testnet account and automate it with the same commands as live. It runs on Bybit's testnet, so the funds and markets are separate from mainnet, but the setup and the commands are identical to live trading. Only the account differs.

Bybit order types

Does Autoview support stop-loss and take-profit orders on Bybit?
Yes. You can attach a stop-loss and a take-profit to your entry so they go in together, and Autoview can also set a stop-loss or take-profit on an open position. Use the standard stop-loss and take-profit; the separate limit-trigger variant is not currently active for Bybit.
Can Autoview place trailing stops on Bybit?
Yes. Bybit supports trailing stops, and Autoview can place one so your stop follows the price as the trade moves in your favor. You can also set the price at which the trail begins.
Can I send a chained multi-leg command on Bybit?
Not currently. Chained multi-leg commands are not available for Bybit through Autoview. You can still attach a stop-loss and a take-profit to a single entry, so the protection goes in with the trade.

Platform and security

Does Autoview run Bybit in the cloud, or do I need the Chrome extension?
Both work for Bybit. The cloud webhook platform runs your automation on its own, so nothing needs to stay open on your computer. If you would rather execute on your own device, the Chrome extension can run Bybit too.
How does Autoview keep my Bybit API credentials secure?
You connect with your Bybit API key and secret, and Autoview stores them encrypted. They are used only to place the orders you trigger, and they are never written into your alerts.
