Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started with HTX

Can I automate HTX trades from TradingView alerts?
Yes. Connect your HTX account to Autoview, then add an Autoview command to a TradingView alert or any webhook. When the alert fires, Autoview reads the command and places the order on HTX for you, with no manual step.
Which markets can I trade on HTX through Autoview?
HTX gives you Bitcoin and altcoin spot markets, and Autoview can automate orders across them. Your alerts trade them the same way you would place the orders by hand.
Can I try Autoview on a free HTX demo account first?
Not for HTX. HTX does not offer a demo or paper-trading mode through Autoview, so you connect a live HTX account to automate trades. You can still start small and use limit orders to control your entry prices.

HTX order types

Does Autoview support stop-loss and take-profit orders on HTX?
In part. On HTX you can place a standalone trigger order that fires at a price you set, which works as a stop-loss or a take-profit. Autoview cannot attach a stop-loss or take-profit to your entry order in one step on HTX, so you place the trigger order separately.
Can Autoview place trailing stops on HTX?
Yes, with a condition. A trailing stop on HTX is placed as part of a trigger order, so you set a trigger price alongside it. Autoview does not place a standalone trailing stop on HTX without that trigger price.
Can I send an entry with its stop-loss and take-profit in a single alert?
Not on HTX. Each HTX alert places one order. To run an entry and a protective exit, you send them as separate alerts rather than as one bracket command.

Platform and security

Does Autoview run HTX in the cloud, or do I need the Chrome extension?
Both work for HTX. The cloud webhook platform runs your automation on its own, so nothing needs to stay open on your computer. If you would rather execute on your own device, the Chrome extension can run HTX too.
How does Autoview keep my HTX API credentials secure?
HTX uses two values to connect: your Access Key and your Secret Key. Autoview stores both encrypted, uses them only to place the orders you trigger, and never writes them into your alerts.
