An Internet Protocol (IP) address is the numeric label assigned to a machine connected to a network.
Depending on where the machine is located and the network setup, the public facing address of your machine can vary.
Whitelisting allows only a specific set IP addresses to perform requests, maximizing security.
Which IP addresses do I whitelist?
Trading Extension
When using the Autoview.com Trading Extension, which is running locally, you will want to use discovery services for your IP address. For example: https://www.ipify.org/
To ensure success when whitelisting IP addresses, where acceptable, enter both the IPv4 and IPv6 versions of your addresses.
Note: Your Internet Service Provider, network, or exchange may not (yet) support IPv6.
Webhook Platform
When using Autoview.com itself, the Webhook Platform, the IP address will depend on the Zone you selected when Adding your API Keys.
The currently available Zones are:
-
US, New York - 143.244.223.137
-
US, San Francisco - 209.38.6.104
-
AU, Sydney - 170.64.242.71
Note: Zones are not using IPv6 addresses.
