This setting is only available with a few exchanges, Bitmex, Binance Futures, Binance Delivery, FTX and Kraken.
System overload is a exchange issue that is unfortunately outside of Autoview's control. As such, the Retry parameter has been designed to allow Autoview users to retry a failed command until it works successfully rather than the entire alert failing.
An example would be the possibility of duplicate orders. If the 503 error is false alarm, the order may still get through though the retry will not know that it has and Autoview will retry the command until it is successful.
Though this parameter has been made available, it is very important that you understand the risk involved in the use of the parameter.
Using the Retry parameter
Before using the Retry parameter, users will need to configure the amount of times that Autoview retries as well as the amount of time between each retry.
- Click on the Autoview Extension and select Change Settings.
- On the left side of the page, click on Settings.
- Enter the amount of times that Autoview should Retry in the first box.
- Enter the amount of time between each retry attempt in the second box (in milliseconds).
- Click on Save Settings.
NOTE: The minimum amount of retries is 1 and the maximum amount of retries 99. The minimum value for the time is 500ms and there there is no maximum though please note that 300,000 milliseconds = 5 minutes.
