Installing the Autoview.com Trading Extension is your first step towards automating your trading strategies directly from platforms like TradingView via your Chrome browser. This extension acts as a bridge, receiving alerts and executing trades on your connected exchange accounts. This guide will walk you through the process, from finding the extension to ensuring it's securely set up and ready to manage your trades. To remain decentralized, the Autoview.com Trading Extension stores your API keys and information locally in your Googles local storage.
Step 1: Installing the Extension
Navigate to the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. For easy access, you can pin the Autoview.com Trading Extension icon to your Chrome toolbar. This makes it simple to access the extension's options.
Step 2: Initial Connection Setup and Authorization Management
After adding the extension to Chrome, you will need to set it up to connect with your Autoview account and your chosen trading platforms. You can view a list of all the available integrations on our pricing page. You will have to login to Tradingview, or just refresh a Tradingview tab once after installation to initiate the connection. This can then be managed, enabled/disabled via your Tradingview Listeners page.
Connecting to Your Exchange Accounts
A crucial part of the setup is connecting the extension to your trading exchange accounts. This is typically done using API keys. You will need to create API keys on your exchange (such as Kraken, Tradovate, Binance, Bitfinex, BitMEX, ByBit, Coinbase Pro, KuCoin, OANDA, OKX, Gate.io, Huobi, Bitget, Gemini, Deribit, Poloniex, OKEx, OkCoin, and others supported).
When creating API keys, it is essential to configure their permissions correctly. For trading automation, the keys typically require permission to execute trades. Crucially, they should generally NOT have permission for withdrawals. This is a key security best practice. Some exchanges may also allow whitelisting IP addresses for added security, limiting access to your account only from known IP addresses.
You will then input these API keys into the Autoview.com Trading Extension's settings. You can find getting started articles for each integration by clicking on your desired broker/exchange on our home page or pricing page
Step 3: Browser Performance Considerations
The Autoview.com Trading Extension runs within your Chrome browser. Features like Chrome Memory Saver can affect how background tabs operate, potentially impacting the extension's stability.
