Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started with Deribit

Can I automate Deribit trades from TradingView alerts?
Yes. Connect your Deribit account to Autoview, then add an Autoview command to a TradingView alert or any webhook. When the alert fires, Autoview reads the command and places the order on Deribit for you, with no manual step.
Which markets can I trade on Deribit through Autoview?
Deribit gives you crypto options and futures markets, and Autoview can automate orders across them. Your alerts can trade those contracts the same way you would place them by hand.
Can I try Autoview on a free Deribit Testnet account first?
Yes. Connect a free Deribit Testnet account and automate it exactly as you would a live account, with no real funds at risk. Testnet connects as its own exchange in Autoview, so the setup and the commands are identical to live trading. Only the account you connect differs.

Deribit order types

Does Autoview support stop-loss and take-profit orders on Deribit?
Yes. You can attach a stop-loss and a take-profit when the trade opens, and Autoview can also place a stop or limit order to protect or close a position you already hold. Deribit handles these as its own stop orders, so your exits trigger at the prices you set.
Can Autoview place trailing stops on Deribit?
Not currently. Autoview places stop-loss and take-profit orders on Deribit, but trailing stops are not yet available for Deribit through Autoview. Your stops are set at the prices you specify rather than following the market automatically.
Can I chain an entry with its stop-loss and take-profit in one Deribit alert?
Not as a chained or one-cancels-the-other set. Deribit does not support multi-command chaining through Autoview. You can still attach a stop-loss or a take-profit to a single order, and you can send the protective order separately after the entry fills.

Platform and security

Does Autoview run Deribit in the cloud, or do I need the Chrome extension?
Both work for Deribit. The cloud webhook platform runs your automation on its own, so nothing needs to stay open on your computer. If you would rather execute on your own device, the Chrome extension can run Deribit too.
How does Autoview keep my Deribit API credentials secure?
You connect with your Deribit Access Key and Access Secret, and Autoview stores them encrypted. They are used only to sign and place the orders you trigger, and they are never written into your alerts.
