Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started with OKX

Can I automate OKX trades from TradingView alerts?
Yes. Connect your OKX account to Autoview, then add an Autoview command to a TradingView alert or any webhook. When the alert fires, Autoview reads the command and places the order on OKX for you, with no manual step.
Which markets can I trade on OKX through Autoview?
OKX gives you crypto spot and derivatives markets, including futures, perpetual swaps, and options, and Autoview can automate orders across them. Your alerts can trade them the same way you would place them by hand.
Can I try Autoview on a free OKX demo account first?
Yes. Turn on OKX's demo trading and automate it exactly as you would a live account, with no real funds at risk. This uses OKX's own simulated trading, not a separate simulator, so the setup and the commands are identical to live trading. Only the account mode differs.

OKX order types

Does Autoview support stop-loss and take-profit orders on OKX?
Yes. You can attach a stop-loss and a take-profit when the trade opens, or set either one after a position is already open. Autoview sends them to OKX as an attached order so your exits are in place automatically.
Can Autoview place trailing stops on OKX?
Not currently. Autoview places stop-loss and take-profit orders on OKX, but trailing stops are not yet available for OKX through Autoview. Your stops are set at the prices you specify rather than following the market automatically.
Can I send an entry with its stop-loss and take-profit in a single alert?
Yes. One OKX alert can carry the entry plus an attached stop-loss and take-profit as an OCO bracket, so the whole set is placed together when the order triggers.

Platform and security

Does Autoview run OKX in the cloud, or do I need the Chrome extension?
Both work for OKX. The cloud webhook platform runs your automation on its own, so nothing needs to stay open on your computer. If you would rather execute on your own device, the Chrome extension can run OKX too.
How does Autoview keep my OKX API credentials secure?
OKX uses three values to connect: your API Key, Secret Key, and Passphrase. Autoview stores all of them encrypted, uses them only to place the orders you trigger, and never writes them into your alerts.
