When creating a webhook, an optional webhook key can be assigned to help protect your webhook from unwanted requests or accidental triggering.
There are two ways the webhook key can be provided to avoid errors like:
Invalid Webhook Key Provided.
Beginning of the Alert Message
The first method is adding your webhook key to the beginning of your alert message.
Note: The space is optional and can be used for readability.
Within the Webhook Link
The second method for adding a Webhook key is by adding it to the webhook link, a query string:
https://autoview.com/hook/<identifier>/?key=<security>
Note: The query string "?key=" and your webhook key "security" will need to be added manually once the link is pasted where you will be using it.
TradingView Alerts
When configuring your TradingView alerts, you will need to paste your webhook link into the Webhook URL field under the Notifications tab. This dialog is shown when you edit or create an alert.
